I'm done with it now though. The switch has been flipped.
Here's some of my recent reads to give you an idea of what I mean:
Hey - ya know all those people SELLING off their stocks at rock bottom prices? Guess what? Some rich guy is BUYING IT.
THIS JUST IN: 6,706,833,152 people will *NOT* die today. I repeat - 6.7 Billion People will *NOT* die today.
THIS JUST IN: You can now buy stocks in most companies at 1995 prices!
Wow 89% of ALL HOMEOWNERS are paying their mortgages on time.
THIS JUST IN: Tens of Millions of Homes *NOT* in Jeopardy of Foreclosure
THIS JUST IN: Employment Rate is still at 92%
THIS JUST IN: 3105 Counties in the USA have a *LOW* Foreclosure Rate.
(35 remaining counties account for over 50% of all foreclosures)

Loved this post! I am totally with you. I lost my job in Dec. but I'm so excited because I feel this "down" time is helping me lay the foundation for something amazing to happen in the near future. Plus, my hubby and I just bought stocks in companies we would never have been able to afford a few years ago, and we're looking for more. Life is good!
I loved this post as well.... a much more positive - and productive - way of looking at the world
soo true. if you look at things from this perspective, it still is a good world we live in. sometimes, we're just so spoiled that we think everything should always be good. true that these are trying times, but it doesn't mean that it's the worst of times. I can think of so many instances in the world's history that would be so much worst than the situation we're in now.
Justin Fox wrote a column in the recent "Time" entitled "Call Me Mr. Sunshine." He argues, similar to you, that 1) the stock market is now no longer overpriced, 2)the government is working to fix things, 3) consumers are adjusting to things well (just like Sedie), and 4)adjusting to change is what the U.S. is all about!
I'm with you on - we need to start "seeing" the positive. The media makes it really hard though ...
luckily all those electronic devices that deliver media - have an OFF switch!
yeahh.. keep positive.. watta nice post sist, what is happened to us is depend on how we look at it.. totally agree with you sist..
A gentle reminder to remind us to focus on the positive. The media seems to be having fun playing the down side. Just as we must not be in the state of denial, a more important thing to do is to focus on the positive and to create a difference.
i smell grin aura here :D the world is not end. yet.
This post is so encouraging, I see so many people giving up their dreams in the bump in the economy. They think everything is lost, the sad part is, this nation runs on dreams, if those die, this nation dies.

still making it positive, although the downturn is temporary, and many are affected but in the end the economy is right on track. temporary backlash seems part of bigger economy. nothing to worry about, all you have to do is tightening your expenditures for this moment.
Wonderful post. I agree with you. Nothing can push us through the end of the race. I need to carry on. That's the only way to go. Let's do our duties, and hope for the best. There's still a lot to be done.
there is a nice quote i would like to add to - " don't worry that the world is coming to an end tomorrow , it is already tomorrow in australia"
