Weeweechu

It's a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, "Hey, mamacita, let's do Weeweechu."

Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon!" said Rosita.

Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I do Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged.

"But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon." replied Rosita.

Please, corazoncita, just once, do Weeweechu with me."

Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK, one time, we'll do Weeweechu."

Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang.....

"Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Thanksgiving Week

Hello fellow surfers. I see the holiday season is quickly approaching. This upcoming Thursday will be the day Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. It's a day filled with food and football for most people and a time that families reflect on all the things they are thankful for. I think this is a good time to show my thanks to all of you who have drop here.

I know some will be able to wake up early Thursday morning and put the Turkey in the oven and then have some time to sit back and surf; while others may be waking up early to bundle up the family and kids to make a long trip to visit relatives for their Thanksgiving feasts. The most important thing is to take time out from your daily routines and make this week special by spending more time with friends and family. Regardless if your plans will be geared toward the early part of the week or the end of the week.

The day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday in the States. This is when all the stores put out their best bargains of the year and shoppers wake up in the wee hours of the morning to brave the crowds at the malls and stores. Black Friday isn't a good day for us that like to market online, because everyone is out physically shopping for their Christmas gifts and bargains they seek. This pattern carries on through the weekend and not a lot of interest in online shopping.

Green Monday? This is the day Christmas shoppers start looking for deals online. The first Monday after Thanksgiving is usually the busiest, but every Monday until Christmas is peak times for internet users to buy things online. You can take advantage of these peaks if you start positioning yourself now. I'm not sure why it's Mondays, but it's worked out this way for the last several years and I'm sure this year will be no different. Now is the time you want to advertise. No matter what products or services you're offering, now is a golden time for luring new visitors to your interests. So don't let the cold weather and holidays be a excuse for slacking off right now. All internet marketers world-wide need to take advantage of the final weeks of 2008 and a lot of us can start the New Year off in positive fashion.

Good luck to all of your online promotions.

Mirrors of Ourselves

When discussing lifestyles and personality, one would be remiss in doing so if the word "home" is not mentioned. The home is an integral part of our lifestyle, after all. We may or may not own a house, which is where the home is created, but we all belong to a home, whether we wish to call it ours or not.

As infants, we enter this world through the home of our parents and those that assumed responsibility for our care and, basically, our lives. As we grow older, it becomes a haven from the second world, which is school. It is a home where we feel most secure and are always accepted, and where we are nurtured and nourished by the people who live in the same household. Hence, it becomes the place where we want to seek refuge when we are sick, depressed rejected, or simply exhausted after a long day away from the house.

At an age when we can gain financial independence, one of the basic things we work and save for is a place we can call our own -- our sanctuary from the hassles and pressures of our workplace. At this stage, wanting to be left alone and not be disturbed becomes a necessity, and it is for this reason that many of us want to live apart from the home that we grew up in, despite our parents' open invitation to stay in our bedrooms, with free board and lodging, for as long as we wish. There is a constant desire to come and go without having to ask permission from the elderly folks in the house and to have friends over any time of the day or night. Having jurisdiction over a space we can call our own enables us to relax and behave as we please, without anybody raising an eyebrow.

More than the clothes, the behavior and manner of speaking, our homes tell the stories of our lives -- good or bad, happy or sad. To a certain extent the personalities of our homes are accurate gauges that reflect where we are and have been, who we are, and what is presently going on in our lives. Our home essentially become mirrors of ourselves.

Love and Relationship

Remember every relationship, no matter how short or long is an opportunity for growth, for finding out your highest self and acting out of your highest self. Hence do not let material items stand in your way. Remember this difference, because centering on behaviors instead of the core of the person can contribute to constant concern about your compatibility. Loving all things about your better half is just impossible.

Love is creating a better relationship by building a relationship that is based on the simple things in life, like walking and holding hands, going on a picnic (just the two of you), or sharing an ice cream. Love in a better relationship is not about what you show on the outside but what you express in you heart. Love is the action of doing.

Love a fireman love the fire department. Marry a fireman you marry the entire department. Love is the action of doing. Love remains love if it is real. "Rough waters" ultimately prove the point as to what is real, and what is not.

Billionaire's Formula

FV = PV * (1+r)^n

FV = future value of money
PV = present value of money
r = rate of return or interest rate
n = period or time

It's really as simple as this, not new but I guess a seldom used formula. Let's decipher this formula into a more realistic business point of view.

As an example I will illustrate Mr. Bill Gates, Microsoft Inc.

FV(Bill Gates) = PV (invented operating system) * (1 + r (microsoft sales)) to the power of n (number of years microsoft has been around)

If Bill Gates started with 1 cent as a present value of his operating system and sold 2 the first year, 4 on the 2nd year, 8 on the 3rd year, 16 on the 4th, and so forth for the next 30 years. His Future Value will be = $ 10,737,418.24. But he sold and still selling way more than that. That's why he's a billionaire. Money begets money and when it reaches a critical mass it'll be like a snowball rolling downhill turning into an avalanche.

$ 10,737,418.24 = .01 * (1 + 200%)^30

1: $.02
2: $.04
3: $.08
4: $.16
5: $.32
6: $.64
7: $1.28
8: $2.56
9: $5.12
10: $10.24
11: $20.48
12: $40.96
13: $81.92
14: $163.84
15: $327.68
16: $655.36
17: $1,310.72
18: $2,621.44
19: $5,242.88
20: $10,485.76
21: $20,971.52
22: $41,943.04
23: $83,386.08
24: $167,772.16
25: $335,544.32
26: $671,088.64
27: $1,342,177.28
28: $2,684,354.56
29: $5,368,709.12
30: $10,737,418.24

Simple? This computation is not new and I know it's easier said than done. However, save this formula, and if you find a money making business, work, or product, plug in your numbers in the formula and see for yourself that it actually work. Remember that you can also invest your money in stocks, real estate, etc. Leveraging your money to work for you is the key ingredient in this equation, and it doesn't matter whether you start small or large investment because you'll have the same constant formula in doubling your money.

As a bonus allow me to leave you this trivia question. Take a chess board and a grain of rice double that grain of rice on the 1st square, 4 grains on the 2nd, 8 grains on the 3rd and so forth until you fill in 64 squares. How much rice do you suppose you'll have?

Best of luck.

Easy Money Online

Let's start making some quick money. I suggest for you to try online selling communities like eBay or Amazon.com. Online selling communities have been a good source of income for retailers because they allow you to reach customers locally and internationally without having to spend on an actual shop, staffing, physical campaigns, and other expenses associated with offline business. A simple imagination and a good working knowledge of the ins and outs of the site you've chosen, can spell a profitable home based business capable of running by itself.

Keep in mind that online buyers look for bargains of hard to find items. So used items, gadgets, antiques, collectibles, and imported goods are very popular. It's a good idea to spend a few hours browsing the online selling sites to see which items move fast.

To get started, these sites require a simple registration process. By signing up you will learn the basics, and participating in selling and buying will give you the experience needed to enter into this kind of business.

The most important thing to learn first is to define clearly the item description you want to sell because this could make or break a sale. Your description should be brief but thorough, including information about payment, shipping, warranties. You could either participate in auctions where price is variable and the highest bidder wins, or a fixed price where the first buyer to contact you gets to buy the item.

Niche Marketing 101

Niche Cheese from spiritwarrior on Comiqs

The basic rule is that you need to find a niche which is not so competitive and one which you can contribute something special and relevant based on your past or other people’s experience, knowledge and skills. Everything else will just fall into place. Every day, the Internet world is becoming increasingly busy and competitive. This means that niches are becoming increasingly vital and critical to online success.

What is niche marketing? It is simply making people buy a product or service that have little competition in a particular area. As an example, putting up a grocery store in a residential area that does not have one will likely be successful in contrast to a place where there is a grocery store in every corner. This is true whether you have an offline or online business.

Bringing in customer and business together is essential to any marketing endeavour. Building a strong customer base will take time but will guarantee your online success because they will be your repeat buyers. If you sell a product or service online that customers do not need or can be easily purchased from other online businesses, your marketing effort is bound to fail. When you sell to a niche market remember to sell the benefits of your product or service and not so much the features. Do not overemphasize the features because customer buy based on need. For example, would you buy a vacuum cleaner based on horsepower and sturdiness, or because you need one to protect your baby from crawling on a dirty carpet? A good salesperson will emphasize the latter reason and the features later. That's what niche marketing is all about, creating a demand for your product and services to customers who will likely buy.

Lack of competition in a niche market can bring both positive and negative results. Positive because you are the only one or a few selling your product or service. Negative because there might not be a need for what you have to offer.

Internet business is very competitive because it can be accessed anywhere in the world and anyone can offer the same product or service. Therefore, a savvy niche marketer will target a small segment of a larger market base, create a demand and supply the need. So the secret of niche marketing is "creating a demand". Good luck.

Commercialize or Monetize Your Blog

As a blog owner, you may not be consciously doing it but may happen without you even noticing it. Below are certain aspects that might help you understand the difference.

Commercialization: When you commercialize a blog it is heavily dominated with advertisement, content promoting commercial products and a lot of embedded affiliate links redirecting visitors to products/services on various sites. Visitors find it difficult to distinguish between the actual content and commercial part of the blog. In a nutshell, a commercialized blog would want to use every possible opportunity to make money online by using various ways of doing so.

Monetization: When you monetize your blog, you do not overly involve yourself making money online by using various ways outlined above. You would rather focus on the content that your visitors like and keep coming back for more information. Monetization involves using AdSense and other contextual advertising programs to a limited extent to make money, and occasionally writing about some products with embedded affiliate links. In this case, visitors can very clearly distinguish between the actual content and commercial aspects of your blog.

Payoffs and drawbacks of a commercialize blog: You may make money, may be a lot of money in a short period but lose visitors in the long run. How will you make money when there are no visitors to your blog?

Payoffs and drawbacks of monetize blog: You may make nothing at first or a very small amount of money but retain visitors and gain loyalty from them. One can expect to grow with this approach and then make large amount of money over the long term. Focus on the content and money will automatically come to you.

3. Iron your clothes. It doesn’t take that long to press them. You’ll also look fresher in neatly pressed clothing. (60 calories/ 15 minutes)

4. When doing your grocery shopping, walk or take a public transport. If you use your car, park as far as possible. (300 calories/hour)

5. Don’t use your electric vacuum cleaner to clean your floor or rug, instead use a broom and mop, or if you have a rug, use the manual roller type cleaner. For fun turn on the stereo so you can do some swinging as well. (150 calories/30 minutes)

6. Walk every chance you get. The art of walking – walk in small steps briskly. (300 calories/hour)

7. Cook and prepare your own healthy food. Stay away from ready-to-eat or fast-food meals. (240 calories/hour)

8. When blogging or surfing, take a break every 30 minutes (don’t forget to set your alarm clock) and do stretching exercises or hop on a stationary bike for 5-10 minutes. (100 calories/break)

9. Manually wash your dishes and utensils. Don’t stick them in the dish washer. (60 calories/15 minutes)

What The Mind Can Conceive The Blog Can Achieve

"What the mind can conceive the blog can achieve." - Rhea

This blog is now a part of my daily chore. Judging from the warm comments I have received, I'm feeling more motivated and responsible to write good articles. I am enjoying the writing part tremendously, a discovery I never thought I have enough patience to do.

My time blogging coupled with the soaring gas and consumer goods prices made me realized that I have to start innovating, renovating, and implementing a rather unique lifestyle to start saving money to cope up with recession and still be able to give time for my new found interest. I’m both fortunate and lucky to have a very supportive and compassionate partner who took a break from his own business to help me in this unique lifestyle change. We plan to integrate both our income sources for the same reason to hedge us against the uncertainty of rising costs of doing business.

Profits from my small fast-food outlets where I get my sustainable income have been on a decline. Since I cannot be there all the time now, I have installed online cameras on some of the stores for monitoring purposes. I’m satisfied with the results so far because I can virtually be in several places at the same time and actually save a lot from the rising fuel costs by using my car less frequently. I also signed up for online banking that I find to be so much easier to transact as oppose to lining up and wasting all that time at the bank. Hopefully, these measures will add up for a more stable income.

It was only recently that I have uncovered these numerous value added services that my desktop computer can do. For the most part, I was only using this computer for accounting (excel) purposes and occasional surfing. I would never have found out if I never started blogging, meeting good people like you and reading quality posts from fellow bloggers because my daily routine then was just home and work. I have learned how to multi task in a very efficient way to compensate for the time I spend surfing. Overall, the monetary savings I am experiencing is beyond expectations.

Being in front of the computer for several hours a day will take its toll on my health, and that’s one of several considerations I will never compromise. So my hubby bought a stationary bike. Placed it strategically in front of the monitor, installed a made to order holder for the wireless keyboard and a mouse pad for the wireless mouse on the stationary bike. Go ahead you can laugh, but it's actually working. How’s that for innovation? As a result, I have terminated my fitness club membership for additional savings. I’ll be posting a picture of the stationary bike as soon as we finish some minor adjustments. We plan on purchasing a treadmill in the near future and do the same with it. Who says we can't be both a computer junkie and a health buff at the same time? Any investors out there?

This blog has achieved what my mind has conceived. Lady luck seems to have a knack of finding me. I hope she does the same for you.

I'm having a bad hair day...

I have literally joined the rat race . Pay Per Post, who rejected me a couple of times because my blog was fairly new and does not have enough "quality content", finally gave me the thumbs up. So for the past several days of my heightened motivation to make money online, I've been rearranging and experimenting with my blog to get my ranking from goggle pagerank, and in order for me to start writing for Pay Per Post which is part of the requirement. I've also been so keen in making money with adsense and other affiliate stuff that I loaded up my sidebar with all kinds of ads. Guess what happened? I woke up this morning, check my google analytics and found what I have always feared. Readers are not coming back like they used to. I have abandoned what got me here in the first place which is posting Comiqs and humorous personal views. I got so engrossed with the hundreds of blogs I surfed everyday about online money making ideas that I have totally done a extreme makeover without even knowing it. Change is something I seldom do at the spur of the moment. But somehow, I got hypnotized by the thousands of headlines I saw while surfing, stating make money this, make money that, and burn your bridges to start something new, etc. It took a post that I came across today from Pinay Mommy Online and Bloggernoob to realize the big mistake I've done.

An excerpt from Bloggernoob, "...If you change the tone of your blog, you’ll see a drop in traffic. If your readers are used to a certain kind of posts, you better keep that going. Change is something that people don’t seem to like. Being too straight forward could hurt your blog..." (read more)

Am I having a bad hairday? Heck yeah! But I'm also glad, I caught my mistake early. I should have known better. Resiliency has always been incorporated within me so I know that bouncing back to correct my error will be easy. I say enjoy what you're doing, do what you do best, streamline the people you want to listen to, but keep an open mind, relax, take it easy and everything will just fall into place.

Lessons to be learned while surfing...

2 pages of Comiqs...Enjoy

Life On the Internet from spiritwarrior on Comiqs

Two lessons in internet surfing. First lesson is be kind to your mouse. It's that one piece of equipment that is always neglected and abused. Without it your blog life is paralyzed. Second lesson is what my mom has always told me, that if a person says to you "trust me", be wary. Who you meet while surfing or chatting on the internet may not be who they say they are. This is just a couple of pointers I'm sharing with you. There must be plenty out there, please share them here.

Not Too Lazy Sunday

Today, wasn't really that lazy. I watched the boxing match between Pacquiao and Marquez. Although, I'm not really a fan of boxing, but the match got me all riled up since Pacquiao is a fellow countryman. Congratulations Manny for a job well done.

I'm almost done with my study of a niche market I will implement in my new site. That means, I will start joining the monetizing club. The numerous tips I read will be a big help in doing so. I think it's really important to have a goal to set the parameters, so I have created a set of questions for myself to go about the project.

1. What's my dream? I believe my dream will make me succeed and overcome obstacles and hindrances. It will also empower me to face the difficulties ahead in starting a new venture.

2. What are my experiences, my strengths and weaknesses? This will define my niche market.

3. How do I start the business? Monetizing a site is a business. This is essential in creating a business plan.

4. What's my short term goal? 1 to 3 year plan.

5. What's my long term goal? 3 to 5 year plan. I think this is very important to be considered since I'm not in it because it's a fad. I'm here for the long run.

6. Do I have the resources to succeed? I've notice that most successful cyberpreneurs invested money and time to drive lots of targeted traffic in their sites. I have a successful offline business myself so this came as no surprise. Target marketing is still king in marketing parlance.

7. Am I ready to take the plunge and change my lifestyle? I have to answer this from the bottom of my heart. I know that this will entail a lot of time and effort. I have to consider everything including the people around me. Remember, It's a lonely place at the top...LOL

So stay tuned for my next niche episode...May you have a wonderful week ahead. This video is for you and I hope your week will be the greatest ever.

I love you and the least I can do for you is clean your monitor...enjoy

http://redeemedlife.org/sc.swf

Ps. Here's My weekly report:

-Alexa ranking at site creation 2/01/08 = 12,000,000 +

-Alexa ranking 2/14/08 prior to signing up at entrecard, site hoppin, social networks = 5,899,000

-Alexa ranking as of 3/16/08
o Yesterday = 75,645
o 1 Week Average 3/08/08= 79,002 This Week 74,232
o 3 Months Average 3/08/08= 465,899 This Week 305,802 Shaved off 160,000+

I may be over emphasizing how Entrecard, site hoppin and social networks have help me achieve an incredible increase in traffic and exposure, but it does work. For those of you who are monetizing your site and needing traffic, you can't go wrong with the combination.

About Comiqs

To the Comiqs Team - Michael, Bob, Jairus from spiritwarrior on Comiqs

I've been using Comiqs extensively to express some of my ideas in the form of humorous cartoons or conversations. To my surprise, the warm reception that I got from many readers are beyond what I had expected. I even had the luxury to chat with one of the owners, asking for my personal opinion and review of the program. He told me that a new exciting feature in Comiqs will soon be coming out and I would be one of several users to try it first. That's quite an honor. You just have to try Comiqs to experience the fun and ease of using it.

Here's the press release of Comiqs:

Creating Comics Online With the Launch of Comiqs.com Beta Edition

Comiqs.com has just been relaunched as the Comiqs.com Beta Edition, replete with a lot of new features and fixing a number of bugs. Though this service has been the subject of intense commentary and speculation from Internet bloggers, entrepreneurs and Internet industry experts looking for the web's next big thing, the founders of the service have extended the invitation to test the Beta Edition to the general public.

One Sound Idea Is All You Need...

I Could Have, Should Have... from spiritwarrior on Comiqs

One sound idea is all you need to prosper in life. Observe very carefully, that idea may just be in front of you. Keep an open mind, because when you begin to think freely and without biased, everything you see becomes an opportunity. There is no complex or simple idea; it is just a matter of how you apply it, and when you find an idea, by all means pursue it with gusto and perseverance like it will expire as soon as you slow down.

A conversation I once had with my former employer went like this:

Boss: Do you see that one big piece of vacant land?

Me: Yes, it’s got a beautiful view of the ocean. I could feel the sea breeze...

Boss: If you work very hard and stay with my company for a long time...

Me: (excited) Yes?

Boss: That one big piece of land will all be mine...

It was meant to be a joke. But did you get the idea?

Please do share a comment. Tia...
