These are very simple actions added to my regular activities but big steps towards
calorie burning.
1. After eating a full meal, rest standing up for 10 minutes and walk for at least 15 minutes. You'll achieve or maintain a smaller waistline. (75 calories)
2. While taking a shower wash a couple of dirty clothes and hang them to dry. The idea is you’re soaking wet anyway so why not do some laundry at the same time. You'll save on electric, water, and energy bills. (60 calories/20 minutes)
3. Iron your clothes. It doesn’t take that long to press them. You’ll also look fresher in neatly pressed clothing. (60 calories/ 15 minutes)
4. When doing your grocery shopping, walk or take a public transport. If you use your car, park as far as possible. (300 calories/hour)
5. Don’t use your electric vacuum cleaner to clean your floor or rug, instead use a broom and mop, or if you have a rug, use the manual roller type cleaner. For fun turn on the stereo so you can do some swinging as well. (150 calories/30 minutes)
6. Walk every chance you get. The art of walking – walk in small steps briskly. (300 calories/hour)
7. Cook and prepare your own healthy food. Stay away from ready-to-eat or fast-food meals. (240 calories/hour)
8. When blogging or surfing, take a break every 30 minutes (don’t forget to set your alarm clock) and do stretching exercises or hop on a stationary bike for 5-10 minutes. (100 calories/break)
9. Manually wash your dishes and utensils. Don’t stick them in the dish washer. (60 calories/15 minutes)
10. Drink lots of water. You will feel less hungry. (eat wisely)
Here’s my bonus weight loss tip to you all – Do the “papaya dance” often...(210 calories/30 minutes)
